I conceive I've patterned it out.

In Windows 7.. at the least.. Right Dog on a blank area on your desktop sceen.

   Click happening last item "Personalize"

On this screen "Windows Color and Appearance"...  wane to the "Item"

window and scroll to have "Desktop" displayed in the window.

To the Right you will see "Color 1".. and a square with a color .. operating theatre white.

If you want a dark rosy-colored font... in real time listen carefully... click the pitch-dark area

          and choice a LIGHT color.

                 Try WHITE for starters.

Nowadays go to your desktop and the font color should be black....

I haven't tried other colors.   Have fun!!

       Regards..

Really Nirajan? You'Ra going to link him to some other "solution" that does non even use to the question he asked? He clearly said Windows 10, non Windows 7. This is why IT's so frustrating placard on these forums.

RogerDickey, I (like millions of others) have had the same supply. In windows 10 the desktop icon font is "kinetic" which means it's automatically chosen supported the color of your backclot image. Windows samples a color (from which part, I'm non totally positive) from your desktop background and then mechanically chooses the color to usance for font. This is ridiculous for SO many open reasons, main one being it nearly always chooses the exact Saami color as your wallpaper. Thanks Microsoft. At least in previous versions of windows, when face color was automatically selected, it would apply a slim drop shadow to stimulate it visible against same-color wallpapers. Not the causa with windows 10, IT seems.

What you'll have to do, is suited-click your desktop setting, and select Individualize.

Then, deepen your play down eccentric from "Icon" to "Solid Color". Choose Orange (this wish change your icon typeface to black). And so, immediately exchange your desktop desktop back to Moving-picture show, selecting your wallpaper of choice. The color should remain black now. Worked for me, hopefully it whole shebang for you too!

Windows 10  Icon Textual matter Not Showing connected a White Desktop.

If you possess a white background and coiffe not wish to usance High Contrast Settings ( because they change a lot of other things), try this solution that did work for me.

When I changed my play down colourize to Andrew Dickson White by using a white image ( jpeg) as my wallpaper, my icons showed, simply no of the identifying text showed because the picture text was also White.

This is what worked;  Settings>Easiness of Access > Other Options>Visual Options>Play Animations In Windows

When I toggle that background ( either way ) if my screen background icons were not viewing, they now appear with a black precis, which makes them readable.

Oddball solution, simply I tested it respective times before posting here.  Hope it helps someone.

Thanks, GoinAn. This fast it for Pine Tree State. I haven't restrained to see if the settings stay the unchanged after a restart yet, but for now your solution worked. Now I can exercise wallpapers that incorporate hoy colours and still be able to see what's on my desktop. Now if only Microsoft would bring around the embarrassment of custom fount colors that we haven't had since, what was it? Windows 98? XP? It sure wasn't in 7.

Either way, thanks for being better than Microsoft support.
